What are Intuitive Watercolor Readings?
Do you have a question about an area of your life in which you are seeking clarity? I paint intuitively to answer your question, in collaboration with you.
These readings are an intimate and insightful art experience that I am facilitating and sharing with you; we are creating an Art Opening.
The intent is to help you make connections, integrate your thoughts, and deepen your understanding of your life’s path.
Art from an intuitive reading
During the pandemic I started doing a similar intuitive art practice with myself to figure out what my next creative steps would be. There is often an in-between time when I am trusting that there are new ideas ahead, but they have not yet fully formed.
The intuitive painting method helped me to feel more calm while experiencing that in-between place in my creative process. While forming these ideas, I was also reflecting on the unexpected experiences I’ve had when facilitating Reiki sessions with people, as I would often receive psychic tidbits of information during those sessions. The meditative state I opened myself to is what curated space for those intuitive moments.
I discovered that the flow of energy from my hands can be channeled into painting to create intuitive readings on paper.
Hello
My name is Amber Kai Morgan
I have been teaching art to children for the past 15 years, and for the past 7 years I’ve directed The Makery: a mobile art lab that celebrates reuse and raw creativity. Through The Makery, I have facilitated many art experiences that allow children the space to express themselves with no attachment to the end product. Imagine creating for the pure joy of it! The process of it all; touching the materials, mixing paint or spreading glue around with your bare hands is thrilling and freeing.
For young children, it’s all about the process and how you feel while you’re making the art. Along the way, adults and even older children lose that uninhibited sense of expression because they are taught to focus on a perfect final product. Through these art education experiences, I have discovered that adults are really craving this sense of freedom and creativity that children so readily explore. This is what Art Opening is for myself and hopefully for those who experience this with me.
